Senior Accountant

In this role as a Senior Accountant you’ll be the direct partner in crime of the Head of Finance and the Financial Controller. From an analytical perspective, you will build, strengthen and improve financial processes like accounting, reporting, and you are a true sparring partner constantly on the lookout of smart strategies, detecting risks, opportunities and ways to optimise the finance processes. But there’s so much more… Also part of your mission is to work on different projects around future challenges and growth like setting up the automation of the reporting or the further international expansion for instance. • You are fully responsible A-Z for the accounting department. This means: daily accounting tasks, preparation of monthly closing and financials, reconciliation of accounts, financial reporting, monthly & yearly VAT, corporate income tax calculations etc.
• You prepare and draw up the monthly financial reporting; Together with the Head of Finance and the Financial Controller you take up the challenge of different financial projects such as taking the business international and raise funding;
• On the short term you will build up the accounting team, that you will manage.
• You help set up the financial processes from scratch, discover the financial risks and actively contribute to the creation of a the strategy around fundraising activities, international expansion, digital transformation, transfer pricing and automation;
• You contribute to and monitor several processes like accounting, reporting and support in meetings and reporting to investors, financial institutions etc.;
• You are an active partner in the communication with and reporting to different (financial) stakeholders.
